Our story begins the same as any other great love story in history: on a dating app. Thomas spotted Briana's profile on Hinge, and when he saw a photo of her in a Captain America onesie, he fell head over heels. When Briana saw his profile said 'rocket engineer', she figured she should give him a chance.

On one of their first dates, Thomas took a leap of faith and asked out of the blue, "So, do you like musicals?" What followed was a flood of common interests from bands to books to movies and shows, even to "wait, you played the trumpet too?" After the tenth 'Hey, me too!' of the night, Briana became suspicious that Thomas was just saying whatever it took to make it sound like they had more in common. Luckily for her, she was wrong.

What followed was three years of growing together. There were bad days, such as a dislocated knee at a company Christmas party, batteling subzero winter storms with frozen wiper fluid, failing a dissertation proposal, and losing grandparents. But there were also wonderful days full of being welcomed into each other's families, meeting new nieces and nephews, graduating, starting new jobs, and buying a home. Through it all, Briana and Thomas have made sure to listen, support, and love each other. Because of this, neither can imaging finding a better person to share the rest of their lives with.
